Regnum Carya is one of the best-known five-star resorts on the Turkish Riviera, set in the pine-and-palm golf belt of Belek, Antalya. It is unusual in doing three things well at once: a genuine luxury beach holiday, championship golf on the doorstep, and large-scale conference and gala hosting. Location and transfer times
- Antalya Airport (AYT): around 35 km, 35–45 minutes by private transfer.
- Kadriye centre and Belek golf courses: 5–10 minutes.
- The Land of Legends theme park: around 10 minutes, which makes a half-day park visit easy from the resort.
- Side and the ancient theatre: 30–40 minutes east.
- Antalya old town (Kaleiçi): 45–55 minutes west.
- Perge and Aspendos ruins: 25–40 minutes inland.
Belek is a resort district rather than a town centre, so most guests stay on property and use private vehicles for excursions. We generally quote a private car or minibus with an English-speaking driver rather than shared shuttles, especially for late arrivals.
Rooms, suites and villas
Accommodation runs from generous standard rooms through swim-up and garden categories to suites and private villas with pools and butler service. The practical differences to check before booking:
- Location within the resort — main building rooms are closest to the restaurants and lobby; villa and garden categories trade a short walk for privacy.
- Family formats — connecting rooms and suites with a separate twin area are the categories that sell out first in school holidays.
- Sea versus garden or golf view — the price gap is real and worth deciding deliberately.
- Adults-oriented categories — quieter buildings and pool areas for couples who do not want the family zone.
Golf: the reason many guests choose Belek
Belek is Turkey's golf capital, with a dense cluster of championship courses within a few minutes of each other, and Regnum Carya sits in the middle of it. Fairways are cut through mature pine woodland with the Taurus mountains behind — visually one of the most attractive golf settings in the Mediterranean.
What to plan for a golf trip here:
- Tee-time blocks booked well ahead for October, November, March and April — the busiest golf months.
- Multi-course packages combining the on-site course with neighbouring Belek layouts.
- Buggies, caddies and club hire confirmed at booking rather than on arrival.
- Course-to-hotel transfers for groups playing away from the resort.
Spa, pools and the beach
The spa is large by Mediterranean standards: Turkish hammam, traditional scrub and foam rituals, saunas and steam rooms, indoor pool and a long treatment menu. Outside there is an extensive pool complex — family pools with slides, quieter adult pools, and a private sandy beach with sunbeds, watersports and beach service.
Two things worth confirming before travel: which pools are heated in the shoulder season, and which spa treatments are included in the board basis versus charged separately. Both are common causes of surprise on arrival.
Dining
Expect a large main buffet restaurant plus multiple à-la-carte venues covering Turkish, Italian, Far Eastern and seafood cuisines, alongside beach and pool grills, patisserie and bars. À-la-carte access is usually limited by number of visits per stay and requires reservation, so for honeymooners and VIP guests we normally pre-arrange the restaurant bookings before arrival.
Conferences, incentives and gala dinners
Regnum Carya is one of the biggest MICE venues on the Turkish coast. The convention facilities include a large pillar-free ballroom that divides into sections, a long list of breakout rooms, foyer space for exhibitions and outdoor gardens and terraces for gala dinners and themed evenings.
For congresses and incentives, Belek works because a single resort can hold the whole delegation, all meals and the evening programme on one site, with flight times of 3–4.5 hours from most of Europe and strong value against comparable Spanish, Italian or Portuguese venues. Best time to visit
- May, June and September: the strongest overall window — warm sea, comfortable heat, everything open.
- July and August: hottest and busiest, ideal for a pure beach-and-pool family holiday; book early for family suites.
- October, November, March and April: prime golf and conference season; pleasant days, cooler evenings.
- December to February: quietest and best value, suited to golf and meetings rather than swimming.
